It's the funeral countdown!
A couple of weeks ago whilst bobbling around in my local HMV store (a music store). I saw this book titled "1000 Albums to listen to before you die" or something like that. I flicked through it, but not all of it was to my taste. Besides we all have different tastes in music, so if you think I'm going to listen to a Madonna album on my death bed, you are wrong. If you don't like insensitive things or if you know someone who has just died recently, then I apologise and I'd advise you to do something else. However, if you don't care or are interested then read on.
10 songs that I want played at my funeral!
1. Martin Grech - Holy Father Inferior
This song has been described as "you can almost hear the galloping, thumping hoofs of the Four Men of the Apocalypse."
2. Pink Floyd - Careful With That Axe Eugene.
Well they'd have to play the version from Ummagumma, mainly because for those unfamiliar with the song, it will scare them (It made me jump when I first heard it). It is an instrumental and very eerie.
3. REM - Everybody Hurts
I think if I was actually depressed, this song would make me cry. Plus Michael Stipe has an amazing voice. So hopefully everyone will cry in the audience type thing they have.
4. Radiohead - Exit Music (For Film)
I chose this one, because it is bloody miserable but brilliant.
5. Nightwish - Ghost Love Score
A dramatic change in tempo this one, a taste of things to come. Symphonic metal at its finest. This song spans for 10 minutes :)
6. Opeth - Deliverance
From the album of the same name, an amazing riffs and diverse vocals. 13 minutes of progressive goodness.
7. Rammstein - Ohne Dich
Slowing down a little bit now, those powerful german lyrics. Song title translates to Without You apparently.
8. Tool - Wings for Marie Part 1.
This one will test the patience of those folk attending. I absolutely love this band, my funeral would be incomplete without them.
9. Tool - 10,000 Days (Wings Part 2)
It is a crime to listen to either of these on their own, you need both parts!
10. Manic Street Preachers - A Design for Life
The speakers would need to be turned up extra loud for this one.

Of course this list means nothing to you if you have never heard of some of the songs. But I would suggest obtaining some of them to give them a try.
